Happy Day
My baby turned two yesterday and I celebrated by being sicker than I have been in years
. But, like I told Steve, I still wasn't as sick as I was the day that she was born
. We moved her birthday celebration to Monday night, but I couldn't let the day pass without a little hoopla, particularly after we sang Happy Birthday to her and she said, "Where Happy Cake (her words for Birthday Cake)?" So, I asked Steve if he'd run out to Winn Dixie and pick her up a little cake. When we told her that's what they were going to do, she smiled and said, "Happy Day Me?" Yes, my sweetheart, your birthday is definitely a Happy Day!
Here she is two years ago:

and one year ago:

And yesterday, blowing out the candle on her Happy Cake.

She's grown so much in the last year. On her first birthday, she wasn't even walking yet and now, she's talking up a storm, well on her way to being potty trained, and doing her best to run as fast as her big sister. Some things haven't changed though. She still has a croc obsession and she's as stubborn and strong-willed as she was on the day she was born...
