A Season of Fun

One of my holiday resolutions this year is to make sure that I take time to have fun with the girls.  I know that sounds ridiculous - I mean really, shouldn't it all be about that - having fun with the girls?  But somehow in the midst of all the schedules and parties and events and school shows and church cantatas, I find myself forgetting that the most important thing to Gracie & Abigail is taking time out to enjoy the normal fun things that we do.  So, I've put together a box of crafts for the month - just simple things that we can do in the afternoons and I've planned some kid-friendly cookie-baking time.  Yesterday, though, we went to our favorite place - the kids' park down the road.  We've been so busy lately that we haven't been in more than two weeks.  It was good to get out in the fresh air (even if it was a bit nippy) and to be thankful for the fact that we live in a part of the world where you can be outside on the first day of December and not even need a coat!

Here's Gracie just before we left the house...

And Abigail enjoying the swings and the sunshine

And Gracie hanging from the monkey bars.  I love this little outfit that she had on...of course, I love anything with a snowman on it!
