A Season Of....Take Two

So, last year I tried to take a photo and blog each day of December.  That lasted.....four whole days.....until Steve had a wreck and I pulled my back out and well, life just got in the way.  But, I am nothing if not resilient and I've decided to try to do that yet again this year.  Although, I am off to a bit of a rocky start since it's now December 2nd and this is my first blog entry for the month.  But, it's still dark here so my day for December 2nd hasn't really started yet, so I'm counting it as December 1st.  How's that for rationalization?

I have so much to share with you that has happened over the last several weeks, but I've got to get it all into some kind of order before I share because if I tried to type it out now it would come out as some kind of jumbled up nonsense.

Anyway, this past Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent.  And, once again, I was blessed to be able the see my sister and her family on that day and we were able to light the first Advent candle together.  Last year, my sister and her family gave me a beautiful advent candle wreath for Christmas.    In the insanity that was last year, I never even got it out of the box.   This year, though, it was unwrapped and sitting on the kitchen table, just waiting for the first candle to be lit.  The first candle of Advent is the one of Hope  - the hope that Jesus brings to the world and for me, a little hope that this year, the season will be a little calmer and that I will take the time to savor the beauty of it, instead of rushing through it as I usually do.
