A Season of Laughter
So, I haven't kept up with my daily blogging. Are you surprised? I'm not really either. I've had computer problems, work issues, and sick kiddos...but we've still managed to have some fun every day!
Last Tuesday was the girls' Christmas Show at school. I can't tell you how much I giggled watching the two of them - Gracie was so animated and Abigail was so NOT. Gracie moved her hands and her whole body and Abigail stood at the railing and didn't move a muscle (including her singing muscles) the entire time she was on stage. But, she didn't cry - not one tear, even when she spotted me in the audience. My absolute favorite part of the entire show was this:
Gracie and her class and the 3-year-old class were already on stage when the younger kids came out - they figured that minimizing the exposure the little ones had to the overstimulation of the audience and the flashing cameras was probably a good thing. So, when Abigail got on stage, the first thing she did was spy her big sister. She broke out of formation and ran to her. They hugged, the kind of hug that only sisters can give. Then, Abigail resumed her proper spot. My heart just melted, watching them together and realizing that Abigail knew she was okay, up there in front of all those strangers, simply because her sister was up there with her....
Here are a couple of pictures:

and links to a couple of videos. The video quality isn't great - it was very dark in the sanctuary and Steve was just using the video capability on our little digital camera, but I think these will make you smile
Gracie sings her songs
Abigail sings (well, not really) her songs
