Let The Wild Rumpus Begin

It’s that of year again…the lead-up to Halloween!!!  Yea, yea, yea, and again yea!  I’m behind the 8-ball as usual…it’s October 6th and I haven’t even bought the patterns to make the girls’ Halloween costumes for this year.  But I just had to take a deep breath and remind myself that I was in the exact same boat last year and I managed to finish both of their costumes in time then.  So, I’ll just do it again…at least the girls have already both decided who they want to be (which is, of course, top secret!!!)

We have our usual grand adventures planned for this month…Corn Maize, Pumpkin Patch, lots of Halloween baking treats and crafts, and plenty of time outside in the much-cooler fresh air. I was looking back through last years’ pictures from October and I realized I didn’t post many at all, so I’m going to try and do that some this month.  Which, will probably be highly confusing because the girls will look like they get older and then younger again.  Okay, it probably won’t confuse anyone but me!

But, in that spirit, here are a few pictures of the girls’ costumes from last year.  Gracie was Little Red Riding Hood in a dress that was more than a little bit too short…I have no idea why, but that always seems to happen with her costumes.  And Abigail was a “Black & Orange Tap Dancing Ballerina” (guess who came up with that name?).

Abigail was still very much in her Grimace Equals Smile phase….

or her look like she’s mad at the photographer phase…

Yes,she was telling me what to do. See what I mean about her too-short dress? Luckily, the red tights solved most of the problem.

I’ll be back soon with a yummy Halloween treat recipe!
