I can feel the clock ticking.  Faster and faster it goes; minutes and days pass by in the blink of an eye.  My time left with Abigail home with me during the day is rapidly disappearing.  In August, she’ll start preschool five days a week.  Granted, she’ll only go for half the day, but there’s not enough time between when her school gets out and when Gracie’s does for Abigail and I to do anything together.  So, I plan on taking full advantage of these last few months of Abigail only going to school three days a week.

Right now, Tuesdays are our day together.  And while I’d like to say that we spend them just doing things together, that is just not the case.  What happens, more often than not, is that I get bogged down with something at work or some other project I’m working on.  It seems like if we stay home, the day just slips away from me.  So, I’ve decided that we’ll start heading out somewhere each Tuesday, even if it’s only for a little while.  And, we’ll grab lunch or a snack somewhere.  Maybe we’ll take in a museum or two.  Just spend time together, a mommy and her preschooler. 

I’ve got a coupon book, a couple of Groupons, and a handful of restaurant coupons that we’re going to use to make our excursions inexpensive.  And, some of the weeks, we may just hang out at the park with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  I want to relish this time I have with my baby before I blink and she’s a kindergartener!

So, this Tuesday, I had to head down to the office to pick up a laptop.  But, afterwards, we took some Krispy Kreme coupons that Steve gave us for Valentine’s Day and headed to the land of Hot Doughnuts Now!  Abigail had fun; the doughnuts were good; and they didn’t cost us a single penny. 

Abigail enjoyed watching the doughnuts move down the conveyor belt.  I enjoyed watching her fascination.  Definitely a good treat!
