The girls are definitely cultivating different interests right now.  Gracie, to quote Abigail “always has her face in a book!”  And Abigail is constantly drawing and coloring.  She’s been sketching pictures of flowers and rainbows for the last couple of months.  A few weeks ago, she started branching out to portraits.  Her favorite subjects are Ella Bella (our dog) and Gracie.  As her skills increase, she’s starting to add more details to her pictures.  She drew this one of her sister the other night:

I was sitting on the couch with Gracie when Abigail showed the picture to me.  I kind of raised an eyebrow, wondering what Gracie would think.  I said, “Gracie, I didn’t know that you had two noses!”

Gracie glanced at the picture, shrugged her shoulders, and said, very nonchalnatly.  “Actually, I believe those are supposed to by my nostrils!” 

I laughed so hard that I thought I would cry.  Gracie just stuck her nose back in her book and kept reading and Abigail went back to coloring.
