March Roundup
Here are my March Project 365 pictures. I really can’t believe I’ve made it through 1/4 of the year and I’m still keeping up! I haven’t been creating weekly pages, but I’ve been uploading my pictures and journaling each one of them, so when I have a chunk of time (in 57,000 years
), I should be able to quickly and easily make the pages. March was a busy month for us…I know I sound like a broken record, but it was!
Steve had surgery on his knee and was home from work for two weeks. My brother and his family came through for a visit, my mom was here for a couple of weeks (and bought a house down the road from us!). We had playdates and school field trips and birthday parties. I think one of the things I love sooooo much about doing Project 365 is that it helps me to remember the little details of our lives that I seem to forget. I tend to think that the months fly by and I don’t accomplish anything, but when I look back at the pictures, I realize that there is a reason I don’t finish all the crafts and books and sewing and writing that I want to finish…I’m too busy living my crazy, wonderful life with my family!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the month:
My baby niece, Michaela…she reminds me so much of Gracie when she was this age…
Abigail playing in her kitchen. She loves this thing…I was worried she might be a little old for it, but she plays with it almost every day and Gracie actually enjoys it, too! I’m so glad Santa brought it for her!
Here’s Gracie saying a prayer for her daddy on the morning of his surgery. I love how faithful she is with her prayers. I am so thankful that he came through the surgery just fine and seems to be well on his way to a full recovery.
And this picture may be my favorite one of the entire month. I took it with my iPhone. I think part of the reason I’ve been able to keep up with my pictures this year is that I have told myself that my pictures don’t need to be technically “good”; they just need to tell a story, so I ‘ll take pictures with whatever tool is available. Gracie wrote this prayer request without any prompting from me. I wasn’t even in the room when she did it. I am so blessed and proud to be her mommy. (And I have to giggle about the way she signed her name…I think she was going for something along the lines of Whitley, Grace A. but I like it this way better
).
And, now we’re in to April – I’m excited for another month that promises to be just as busy…we’ve got Spring Break coming up, a much-anticipated trip to see my sister, some fun photo sessions for friends, and who knows what else! Happy April!
